8th Round of Exclusions on List 4 ($300 billion) of the Section 301 Tariffs

On August 6, 2020, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice announcing additional exclusions on products of Chinese origin subject to the fourth list  ($300 billion) of Section 301 tariffs.

The exclusion covered product descriptions listed include, but are not limited to:

  1. Thermal transfer Printer units classified under 8443.32.1050
  2. Parts of certain dust barrier systems
  3. Locking zip tie fasteners of plastics
  4. Certain decorative glassware
  5. Digital optical image scanners
  6. Slingshot apparatus
  7. Swing sets and parts and accessories
  8. Trap shooting launchers and parts and accessories

The exclusions are retroactive to September 1, 2019, and they will be valid through September 1, 2020.  They can be claimed under 9903.88.55.

If the product meet the exclusion criteria, a duty refund request can be filed for entries imported on of after 09/01/2019.
