COBRA User Fee Updates Deployed in ACE

On CSMS #44153809, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the deployment of the changes to user fees within the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).

The changes are effective for entry dates on or after October 1, 2020.

The updated fees including the following

  •  The Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) minimum and maximum for formal entries will change from $26.79 and $519.76 to $27.23 and $528.33 respectively.
  •  The informal entry fee will increase to $2.18.
  •  The manual entry or release surcharge will increase to $3.27.
